A note from one of our volunteers

Upon hearing of Red Mountain Grace, I immediately knew that I wanted to be involved. Their mission resonated with me because I have been in need of housing near the hospital twice over the past few years. My son was born early and needed to stay in the NICU for 17 days after birth. We were very fortunate to stay in a facility near the hospital so that we could be with him as much as possible. A few years later, he had major surgery and needed physical therapy daily for a few weeks. Due to the incision on his back, he was unable to ride in his car seat more than a few blocks. The day he was being discharged, I called Ronald McDonald House and was told there was no room. God answered our prayers an hour later. We received a call stating that someone had left and a room would be available that afternoon.

After going through these things, I knew I wanted to give back and let others know that they were not alone. Whether it was aiding in furnishing an apartment, providing a meal, praying for the families, or raising awareness about the organization, I knew I couldn’t wait to be involved. What I love about Red Mountain Grace is that they are Christ-centered and strive to provide more than a place to stay. These families are getting the support and encouragement they desperately need during a very difficult time in their life.

Thank you Red Mountain Grace for all you do!
