Childhood friends, Jason Carroll and John Burdett, discovered a shared passion for serving families enduring the trials of distance medical care in 2013.

After learning that an average of thirty to forty families remain on housing waiting lists every night in Birmingham, the two drafted an apartment model that would not only provide excellent service and housing, but would be efficient and scalable for the future. They started the project with their own funds, yielding the values of accountability and careful stewardship that remain to this day. With a combined focus on compassionate care and an efficient operational system, Red Mountain Grace has become one of Birmingham’s fastest growing non-profit organizations.

Since opening its doors in August of 2013, Red Mountain Grace has welcomed over 1,000 families and has become one of Birmingham’s most impactful non-profit organizations.
