Rent Increase Statement

by Liz McCullough

For the past decade, Red Mountain Grace has proudly offered families facing long-term medical care a haven of comfort and affordability at $10 per night. However, with the ever-rising cost of living, sustaining this rate without compromising the quality and support we provide has become increasingly challenging.

Therefore, after careful consideration, we announce an adjusted nightly rate of $20, effective January 1, 2024. We understand this change may bring concern, and we assure you this decision was not taken lightly.

The reality is, the costs of maintaining our facilities, providing essential services, and ensuring a comfortable stay for our families have significantly increased. Utilities, repairs, and everyday operation expenses have risen sharply, outpacing our current income.

This adjustment allows us to bridge the gap, ensuring Red Mountain Grace remains a stable and reliable sanctuary for families in their time of need. We remain deeply committed to affordability, and the new rate still represents a significant discount compared to traditional housing options available to our guests during their medical journeys.

To ease the transition, we are implementing a phased approach:

  • Current residents as of January 1, 2024 can stay at the existing $10 rate until February 29th, 2024. This provides a buffer and allows time to adjust.

  • After February 29th, 2024, the new $20 rate will apply to all guests.

We recognize that even a small increase can be impactful, and we are actively exploring additional fundraising avenues and grant opportunities to offset costs and maintain a low barrier to entry for families in need. Your continued support remains vital in our mission to offer solace and support during such vulnerable times.

Red Mountain Grace has been a constant source of strength and comfort for over 1,000 families since 2013. This adjustment allows us to continue our legacy of service, ensuring we can be there for countless families navigating the uncertainties of long-term medical care.

We are deeply grateful for your understanding and unwavering support. Together, we can continue to be a beacon of hope and provide families with the peace of mind they deserve during their most challenging moments.
