Full Circle Gracious Hospitality

by Liz McCullough

Today, we received a truly special surprise from one of our alumni guests, Jason Deason, Principal at Alexandria High School, and the incredible students of AHS.

Having once been guests at Red Mountain Grace, the Deason family understands firsthand the challenges faced by families navigating long-term medical care far from home. Following the premature birth of their daughter, Olivia Grace, the Deasons found respite within a Red Mountain Grace apartment. During their stay, their other daughter was able to be with them, creating a sense of togetherness during a challenging time.

Fast forward to today, and the Deason family, along with the compassionate Alexandria community, came together to create the "Olivia Grace Toy Drive." Over seventy presents and gift cards were lovingly collected and donated to our families who are spending Christmas away from home because of medical crises.

This beautiful act of kindness not only showcases the compassion within Alexandria High School and its feeder schools but also highlights the incredible power of a community that understands the importance of giving back. Jason Deason's journey from guest to giver exemplifies the mission of Red Mountain Grace - full-circle gracious hospitality.

Thank you, Alexandria High School students and the Alexandria community, for embodying the true spirit of giving and bringing warmth to the hearts of Red Mountain Grace families this Christmas.
